Delete Your Account

We're sorry to see you go. This page explains how to permanently delete your Zentally account and all associated data.

Option 1: Delete from the App (Recommended)

The fastest way to delete your account is directly within the Zentally app:

  • Open Zentally and go to Settings
  • Tap Account
  • Tap Delete Account
  • Confirm by typing "DELETE" when prompted
  • Tap the final confirmation to permanently delete your account

Option 2: Request Deletion via Email

If you no longer have access to the app or are unable to delete your account from within the app, you can request deletion by email:

  • Send an email to support@zentally.app
  • Use the subject line: Account Deletion Request
  • Include the email address associated with your Zentally account
  • We will process your request within 7 business days

What Gets Deleted

When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed from our servers:

  • Your account profile and authentication credentials
  • All expense and income records
  • Budget and savings goal data
  • Uploaded receipt images and scanned documents
  • AI chat conversation history
  • Bill reminders and recurring transaction settings
  • App preferences and settings

What Is Not Affected

  • Subscriptions: Deleting your account does not automatically cancel your App Store or Google Play subscription. Please cancel your subscription through your device's app store before deleting your account to avoid further charges.
  • Anonymized analytics: Aggregated, non-identifiable usage statistics may be retained for service improvement.

Important Notes

  • Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. Once deleted, your data cannot be recovered.
  • If you are on a Family plan and are the household owner, all shared data associated with your household will also be removed.
  • Data deletion is completed within 30 days of your request, in compliance with applicable data protection regulations.
